Folikulitis
Description
Folliculitis is an inflammation of one or more hair follicles. This condition can occur onskin anywhere.
Folliculitis begins when hair follicles damaged by friction from clothing, blockage ofthe follicle, or shaving. In most cases of folliculitis, which damaged follicles are theninfected with the bacteria staphylococcus (staph).
Symptoms
* Rash (reddened skin area)
* Pimples or pustules located around hair follicles
* Itchy skin
Prevention
To prevent further damage to the hair follicles and infection of the actions that need tobe done among other things:
* Minimize the friction of clothing.
* Avoid shaving in areas that often arise itching (if it should be shaved, use a cleannew razor blade or electric razor).
* Maintain cleanliness of the area that itches.
